What happens if I get in an accident?

We know accidents can happen and we want to help you as much as we can if this happens.  In the event of an accident, the following steps must be followed:

If the accident involves a third party:
- If necessary, contact the authorities.
- Fill out a report by using the TravelCar insurance information (available in your online profile), and include details of the accident including the other driver(s) information.

- Please also include contact information of any witnesses.
- Contact TravelCar customer service team via email at contact@travelcar.com or call us at 888-807-0209 to inform us of the incident and to open a claim.
- If the vehicle cannot be driven, contact us so we can arrange for vehicle and passenger assistance as we make a new car available to you

If the accident does not involve a third party:
- If necessary, contact the authorities.
- Contact TravelCar customer service team via email at contact@travelcar.com or call us at 888-807-0209 to inform us of the incident and to open a claim.
- If the vehicle cannot be driven, contact us so we can arrange for vehicle and passenger assistance as we make a new car available to you.
- Our team will take care of your claim with our insurance.

In case of damage or at fault accident, you will be responsible for the amount of the deductible and the insurance will pay the additional costs related to the damage of the vehicle.
